At the moment it would have to be the impact of global warming on arctic environments, and bio-systems generally.

Sustainable Living is a sensible goal, simply as it is what we should be doing as inhabitants of the Earth!

Growing veggies, composting, recycling, advocating for practicing EC (reducing need for and use of nappies / diapers) and using more environmentally friendly products, avoiding use of others.

- Practice EC to use 1 less nappy at a time!
- Use Cloth nappies in preference to disposables.
- Use 'eco' disposables in preference to regular disposables.

hmm, will have to think about that one.. but would involve aiding in the protection of endangered Australian species such as the Bilby and Tasmanian Devil, as well as educating more families about the skills of EC to raise more environmentally friendly babies!

There are two atm:
"Every change, no matter how seemingly insignificant, becomes a catalyst for more change. Your path to green is not a race. It is a journey." -Green Promise

"For some strange reason we tend to think that to satisfy a child's need is to make it into an unbreakable habit, where in truth the exact opposite is true.

When our children develop a "good" habit, one that suits us, we are afraid it is not going to last. But when our children develop a "bad" habit, one that does not suit us, we are afraid it is going to last forever.

Children should be given the credit that, provided the home environment is healthy, they will mature. As each need is fulfilled at each stage, they will move on and become more mature.

It will be found that one phase passes into another, and another, and another. Please trust that in a sound surrounding the child will graduate from each stage of development." Tine Thevenin

Started three websites about EC for sure!

Interesting profile. Especially like your quotes regarding the raising of children. as a home educating parent i have to agree witht he sentiment that children will not fail to mature given the right kind of care & support.

Hope to see you on here sometime.

regards, Lou.
