Greetings all.
Newest member here, Mitchell Dillman, Eco Warrior... Just want to take a minute to introduce myself and give a brief background. It's always been my belief that if you want to know where someone is headed you should know where they're coming from.
After spending the better part of the last 25 years of my life as a carpenter/contractor, building custom homes, I have the 'booming' economy to thank for kicking me in the Butt, waking me up and getting me moving up a new trail of sustainability.
As a youth I was introduced to the importance of conservation while working with the USDA Forest Service in both the Youth and Young Adult Conservation Corp. I have a vivid memory of sitting next to John Denver one cold December morning in 1976, riding a ski lift and discussing how we needed to start taking better care of our Planet...What have we done?
At the beginning of 2009 I found myself having to lay-off my small crew of hard working and talented carpenters and friends, had to drop the Insurance that had become an albatross around my neck and I was left standing there wondering what the heck I was going to do next...
Through a progression of what I thought to be a series of unrelated events I now realize and have truly internalized the old expression, 'when one door slams shut, another glides easily open.'
Now armed with with a new mission, a burning passion, and purpose, I have assembled an array of environmentally friendly, innovative and cost saving products and I have embarked up a brand new trail.
Realizing that all home-based businesses are inherently sustainable and eco-friendly by nature, I have turned from being a home builder to a home business builder creating Wealth and Personal Growth in others while promoting sustainability World Wide.
After spending the past six months tirelessly assembling a complete portfolio of products and services designed to allow anyone from any back ground the ability to easily start their own 'green' home business. DillmanSolutions offers the education, training and support needed to succeed in the world of On-line Marketing.
As we continue to get set up I urge you all to leave me comments and questions. I am here to entice dialog and offer solutions to many of our worlds' demanding environmental issues. We have just started to organize The Pikes Peak Green Team here in Colorado Springs and welcome any advice and counsel on its development. Pardon the mess at my sites as we are still under construction but don't hesitate to drop by and take a look.
I look forward to hearing from you all and will be happy to help out any way I can. It is my ardent desire to leave my little piece of the planet in better shape than it was when I got here and to help out as many people as I can along the way.
Even baby steps are steps and with steps we can begin to create change and with change perhaps we can make a real difference...
